Dr. Phil, High School Reunion, Things that stick with you

Have you been labeled by maybe your parents or someone at school and it stuck with you?

Some of guest on the Dr. Phil show feels like they were tortured and bullied, picked on endlessly. One particular guest, Renee, was called “too ugly to live” and more...so much so that they started to believe the negative things that was being said to her by her class mates. It feels as real 20 years later as it did that day.

When bullies leave your life, did you take over for them? How many times have you repeated those labels, those words to yourself?
Internal dialog works... it's a matter of what you say. You choose to say negative things to yourself and others and you can choose to say positive things to yourself and others.
You teach people how to treat you, but first, you have to teach yourself how to treat you.
Your insecurities can spread to your children.
You've got to decide that you are ok with you... become who you want to be.
The more you know who you are, the less you allow what other people say effect you.

Here 3 steps to take to start you on your way to changing your negative inner dialog to positive dialog:
Place Positive Self Talk Affirmations all around your house, office and even your car
Take a moment out of each day to practice speaking positive words to yourself
Create a calm environment to say positive phrases aloud and to yourself. Calming instrumental music and a quiet place can be very helpful.
Practice saying and thinking only positive thoughts

Dr. Phil's wife Robin McGraw's Living Your Happiest & Healthiest Life

It all started back in Robin's twenties and thirties when pivotal moments in her life made her realize that if she did not put her health and well-being first, no one else would.

One such moment came in her early thirties when Robin experienced the sudden death of her mother, a wonderful woman who put the needs of her family above her own and, as a result, didn't know that her health was ailing.

Through this tragedy Robin realized that in order to be the best wife, mother and woman possible, she had to take care of herself as if her life depended on it.

You can do it too! How can you be the best Mom or Dad you can be? How about the best friend, sister, brother, daughter or son if you don't start taking care of yourself NOW!

Here are 3 tips to show You how to get started living a life of health and Well-being!

1. Start with your emotional health. If you can change the inside by changing the way you think about yourself and others you will see and feel a drastic change in your life. Use positive self talk affirmations, they are useful and they work.(Please go to www.myiclouds.com to learn more and get the tools you need)

2. Make a Vision Board and put your goals and dreams on it. It doesn't have to be big. You can pick up a cork board at a place like Bog lots.

3. Start eating healthy. If not for you, then for your kids, your spouses, your family and friends. A great tool to help remind you to eat healthy is the Weight Loss version of My I...clouds which can be found at www.myiclouds.com
